Fall colors at the big house

Taken Sunday morning on Jackson between Sixth and Fifth, Springfield, Illinois. The foreground is a little washed out from the morning sun. This is the front yard at the Illinois Governor's Mansion. No one has lived there for six years. The trees are nice, but too overgrown. People should be able to see the house from the street.

Here's a different shot from May of 2007.

Very nice shot. The colors look great. Things aren't that colorful here in Maryland.

Beautiful photo.

A coworker was just complaining that we didn't get all the colors we normally get. I don't know all the details about how that might happen but I'm pretty sure I've not seen anything as nice as that shot yet.

Delmer, interesting. For some reason, our colors are exceptional this year. I remember one year where we had the first freeze while the green leaves were still on the trees. That was not a pretty site.
