Blagojevich indicted

Sometime today, a 19 count indictment was filed against former governor Rod Blagojevich, his brother, Robert, William Cellini of Springfield, Christopher Kelly, Alonzo Monk, and John Harris, in federal court in the Northern District of Illinois. Though not indicted, his wife was mentioned numerous times in the court filing.

Blagojevich said through his publicity agent:

"I'm saddened and hurt but I am not surprised by the indictment. I am innocent. I now will fight in the courts to clear my name. I would ask the good people of Illinois to wait for the trial and afford me the presumption of innocence that they would give to all their friends and neighbors."

Which is roughly translated to, "I won't be going on the radio any time soon."

Bonus video: Time Has Come Today (long version). It seems appropriate.

Well, we shouldn't rush to judgment.

But I can't wait to see this character in leg irons.
