Twitterati on Halls Refresh

Again, if people are talking about something, they're talking about it on Twitter in 140 characters or less.

corinacorona: One last thing: does anyone else get creeped/grossed out by that halls refresh commercial with the mom & the son's roommate? Ew.
dicegrrl: Trying new halls refresh losenges and cant keep up with the saliva production in my mouth... I might drown!
wlicis: Does anyone else think that Halls Refresh commercial with the mom and her kid's friend is WAY beyond creepy?ugh! Who that that was ok to do?
motormouthnc: The Halls Refresh commercial gets creepier every time I see it.
jtravisbradford: Halls Refresh commercial = HOT
mrizek: The Halls Refresh commercial where the mom is making kissy faces with the roommate reminds me of college where I crossdressed for cash.
dwheelchair: Halls Refresh ad with room mate and mum = genius.
molliemoon: I bought Halls Refresh because of the awesome commercial. Advertising really works on me. #funfact

In my non-scientific sample, more people are talking about the commercial than about the product.

I did not like this commercial at first. But, after three or four times, it's growing on me. (Don't hate me.)

In case you missed it, here's the 30 second commercial: Halls Refresh.

Comments

I think this commercial is a absolutely disgusting and I would never buy a product from a company that finds inappropriate sexual innuendos, between an adult and a kid funny and thinks we should too.

I am so disgusted with this commercial I can't stand it.
I am writing to Halls and telling them that I will NEVER buy their product again.
Where is the moral in our society now.
Disgusted

Agreed on the disgusting - I've just seen it for the 'last straw' time, and am in the process of seeking out the right place to complain.

The objective is to sell a product that keeps a person from having a dry mouth/throat and doesn't taste like mouthwash - why on earth does it need to include the allusion to sexual interaction between a woman and a boy?! Because the whole 'cougar' thing is being shoved at us currently? Not a good enough excuse.

If you don't like it, turn the TV off. I don't understand how people can "shove" a commercial in your face. And #2 the mom was enjoying the Halls Refresh, and because it was so mouth-watering, she ended up making those weird facial expressions that the father and son who came into the room jumped to conclusions. In this case, the camera showed you they took Halls Refresh and were enjoying how much it quenches your mouth, and yet you still jumped to conclusions that it was something sexual. Your mind is the one that's perverted, thinking about cougars and pedophilia. You sick bastard JMJ.
