Hedge apples

For Allie.

* So beautiful.

* I got my first article-for-link schemer email today. The person I got the email from claims to be a professional writer and researcher who can and does write about anything. I was offered no money. Just an article. I'm hereby declaring this the new spam.

* I love watching House Hunters and all its spin-offs (House Hunters International, House Hunters Living the Dream, and another one, the name of which I forget). Yes, I know it's pretty much staged, but I can't help myself. So, I'm developing another possible spin-off: House Hunters Break-Up. Like the other shows, the basic concept involves a couple and a Realtor looking at houses. The twist with my show, however, will be where one person of the couple catches the other person of the couple making out with the Realtor in one of the houses and divorce ensues, or sometimes bodily injury. I think it's got potential.

* Speaking of break-ups, hello and good-bye, C.C. Rider.

* Happy Thanksgiving.

Interesting House Hunters idea. Build in a big legal budget.

I've been getting some of those emails, too. Along with plenty of comment spam -- comments that actually respond to the subject of a post but are vague and clumsy enough to make you check out the commenter's link. One of the most frequent offenders on my site is a Buick dealer in the Indianapolis area.

I've also gotten a couple of those article-for-link emails recently. When I got the first one I was tempted to ask for a $10K cashier's check upfront just to see what they'd say, but then I got a second request from another person and knew it had to be spam.

Oh, hey, I just noticed your beautiful link was a link to one of my leaf scans. Thanks! They were fun to do.
