Photo of Howarth Plaza today. These trees started blooming on Friday, three weeks earlier than last year.

This was the easiest winter I can ever remember. I didn't shovel my porch even once this winter. I didn't even open my salt container one time. I could have swept the snow off one morning, but I decided to wait until I got home that night. By the time I got home, the snow had melted.

It doesn't seem possible, but I think I saw my first mosquito of the season last night.

It's 10:00 p.m. on March 18th, and the temperature is 72 degrees. Spring starts Tuesday.

Speaking of hot: Bumble Boogie set to Hellzapoppin.

Easiest winter I can remember too. I think I shoveled my walk five times, though two of those were some pretty seriously wet heart attack snows. Still, a good three weeks ahead of time here too.

Almost enough to give this AGW skeptic pause.

Almost. ;)

That's pretty good, Dave, considering you are much farther north. Of course, global warming or not, we both know next winter is apt to be the worse one ever.

The trees in bloom are one of the many things I miss about Springfield :(

Hi Palmer! Long time. So good to hear from you. I hope everything is going well for you in California.
