Stairway

Fourth and Washington.

* Does this lady deserve to be tazered? That link should start about a minute before the incident in question. This link goes to the beginning of the video. And, here's the link to the story. This happened about seven blocks from my house.

There is so much wrong with that entire scene. One, drivers, including law enforcement, stop over the "stop line" all over this town without getting pulled over. Two, drivers, including law enforcement, make turns into the "wrong" lane all the time without getting pulled over. Three, law enforcement is trained to "inventory" a vehicle without a witness? And, four, that lady was not a threat to the deputy, as evidenced by the fact that when he stepped toward her, she stepped back. Also, her hands were to her sides when he pulled the tazer. He tazed her a second time, when, even though that was off camera, she was clearly not a threat. She was on the ground.

Had to keep the sound down so I couldn't hear everything that was said. I'll listen to it again later. At the first traffic light, the car was much further over the line than the SUV. Wonder what made him follow the SUV. That cop was either spoiling for a fight, having a bad shift, or just didn't like the guy once he saw him. Very uncomfortable for me to watch. I've had bad experiences talking to cops and they were very similar to that one. It is entirely their situation and things can get sideways very quickly. Every question they ask is loaded.

Since originally watching the video, I've watched my driving much more carefully than before.

I just noticed I didn't get the first link to start in the middle like I intended. Sorry.
