The wind blows

At the law enforcement surplus. A pontoon houseboat? Whatever it is, it looks like fun.

Your tax dollars at work.

I came home to this tonight, together with a note in my door to get my car out of the driveway before 8:00 in the morning, and for the next 72 hours. They're going to work on this over the three-day holiday weekend? I doubt it.

The City of Springfield is undertaking a huge project to replace some our deteriorating infrastructure. Except for one panel, which jutted up about an inch or two on one end, this sidewalk was in pretty good shape. The reason it jutted up is because of the tree roots. It will jut up again in a year so, just like it did the last time it was replaced. I'd rather they just take out the tree, which is on city property. That would prevent future jutting, wouldn't it?

As for the sidewalk that crosses the end of my driveway? It's perfectly level. I can't believe they couldn't find a better place to spend these taxes dollars.

Six earthquakes in 24 hours. Dang, Arkansas.

* Rain into my face.
