I shouted out
* A very long read, but very much worth it: The Case for Reparations: Two hundred fifty years of slavery. Ninety years of Jim Crow. Sixty years of separate but equal. Thirty-five years of racist housing policy. Until we reckon with our compounding moral debts, America will never be whole. By Ta-Nehisi Coates.
* Q&A: Ta-Nehisi Coates on Chicago and ‘The Case for Reparations’.
* Don't Believe Everything You've Heard About Chicago's Most 'Dangerous' Neighborhood.
* Robert Townsend Launches Mentoring Program for Chicago Youths.
* Yesterday: Forty-six years ago today, an assassin shot Sen. Robert F. Kennedy, stamping 1968 as the year that forever changed America.
* We Are Now In Command of the ISEE-3 Spacecraft:
Our plan is simple: we intend to contact the ISEE-3 (International Sun-Earth Explorer) spacecraft, command it to fire its engines and enter an orbit near Earth, and then resume its original mission - a mission it began in 1978. ISEE-3 was rechristened as the International Comet Explorer (ICE). If we are successful it may also still be able to chase yet another comet.
* Map: How to drive through all 48 of the contiguous United States in 113 hours.
* Recipe: Strawberry Rhubarb Pie.
* Want: Funyuns Chile Limón.
* Who killed the Kennedys? When, after all, it was you and me! (Best video of a live lip-synched song, by a live band, in a live TV studio, in front of a live, but polite audience, and the usually stone-faced, but relieved when it's over, David Frost. I have to admit this song gives me a little stomach ache, but it makes perfect sense. I can't stop listening. Also, I can't stop watching this video because I'm trying to figure out how Mick makes his hair pulsate.)
