I will find peace of mind

* I don't care about Brian Williams. I don't even care about network news (or cable news, for that matter), having come to the realization long ago that it and the people who work in it are more about entertainment and advertisers than doing a job for a public that would be better served by more truthful information and less personality.

But, as a story teller, myself, I do acknowledge my own shortfalls, including embellishments, sometimes tailoring the story to suit the audience, and the occasional lie (but only when the truth doesn't work and never just for sake of making up a story). I also realize that my memory may not be always exactly accurate.

So, that's why I invite anyone, if you can tell the story better, or more accurately, go for it. Do it. Let's hear it. Just make it about the story and not the story teller. But hey, I'm just me and not a journalist -- respected or otherwise.

On a side note, I do find it totally fascinating to watch the skewering Brian Williams is getting, especially from the media. And I can't help but think they're just glad it's him and not them (for a change).
