Walken in 2008

It looks like Christopher Walken will be running for President of the United States in 2008. I just read every word on his web site, and I have no reason to believe this is a joke or a hoax: Walken2008.

I saw him on Letterman about a month ago, and I recall thinking he seemed different. More purposeful. More serious. Not that he's not a serious person, he just seemed more serious. Even though he hadn't announced his candidacy at that time, it must have been on his mind.

I always liked him as an actor. As a politican, or a world leader, it's too soon to say.

UPDATE the next day at 9:16 a.m.: Evidence has come to light which indicates I may have been suckered on this one. If so, this totally ruins my nearly untarnished record of not falling for an internet hoax. This year. Standing by for confirmation.

I think that that Wikipedia encyclopedia article says that it is a hoax campaign... but it could turn out to be real, after all. (or semi-for real...)

The name seemed familiar to me, before I clicked on the Wikipedia link, but I didn't realize who he was, until I did so.

Needs more cowbell.

Good catch, Aakash. That Wikipedia page has gone through a bunch of edits in the last couple days. Now I wonder if whoever started the hoax is one of the editors.

Wasn't he on the boat with Wagner and Natilie Wood?

Oh dear! I think you're right. That incident was never really solved, was it?
